A winter project from my home in Wyoming. I recorded it in the spare bedroom using all the tools in my (limited) toolbox. A suitcase and a yoga block for a kickdrum. A banjo head for a snare. I learned a ton and enjoyed the process, even though I missed the collaboration of my band. There's been a lot of sorrow in 2020, and I found myself confronting losses of my own, my friends, bandmates, and reading about the struggles of those all over as we fought for a better world even as it all seemed to be coming unglued around us. I found comfort in these songs of loss. Maybe you will too.
